Open Studio Tour 2017

Tour weekend is October 21 and 22.

The Open Studio Tour is a major fundraiser for the Maturango Museum.

Open Studio Tour 2016

Opening Reception for Artists’ Exhibit on Friday, September 9, 7pm

Artists open their studios for the 2-day event so ticket holders can visit and
purchase artwork. The tour will be Saturday and Sunday, October 15 & 16, 10
am – 5 pm each day. Each artist will also have their artwork displayed in the
Open Studio Tour Exhibit at the Museum and be a part of the opening
reception on Friday, September 9, 7pm.
We have 29 artists participating in this year’s tour. Art and crafts include ceramic sculpture, pottery, glass, paintings, woodworking, jewelry, and metalwork.
The $10 tickets will be available September 1st in the museum gift shop.

ost2015_transThe Open Studio Tour Artists’ Exhibit and tour weekend was once again a great success. We had 28 artists in 25 studios participating. The new artists all sold artwork and were pleased to be recognized. Everyone has agreed that they’d like to do it again next year. Tentatively the weekend will be 22 and 23 October 2016.
Total sales in the studios were $13,500 and total sales in the gallery were about $3500.

Maturango Museum’s Open Studio Tour Artists’ Exhibition

Artists’ Work Reception: Friday, October 02, 2015

Exhibit: through November 08, 2015 in the Coso Room

28 artists in 20 studios participated in this year’s Open Studio Tour. This 2-day event, Saturday Oct 17 and Sunday Oct 18, 10 am – 5 pm each day, allowed ticket holders to visit the open studios at their leisure and purchase artwork. Artwork includes wood, copper and Corian bowls and sculptures, decorative and functional pottery, jewelry, wood-burning, steel sculptures, torch-worked glass, oil and watercolor paintings, ceramic sculptures, photography, found object wind-chimes, and printmaking.

Artists participating include Beth Allen, Betty Spindler, Birgit Gagliardi, Cheryl McDonald, Art of Autumn and Dave, Debbie Benson, Dick Benson, DeeDee Reese, Donnie Woods, Helen Baker, Janice Allen, Jerry Bradley, Joan Welsh, Jodi Ostrom, Julie VonSchlemmer, Kathy Fields, Kim Winchester, Larry Sawyer, Laura Arns, Lois Hinman, Maria Coit, Mike Mumford, Mike Riley, Nancy Crawford, Patricia McCain, Sally Adams, and Skip Gorman. Paula Caudill’s studio will be hosted by her son. The tour was a wonderful way for artists to share their talents, studios, and creativity. Some artists shared space at the various studios.
