The Maturango Museum accepts items that have significance to Ridgecrest, China Lake, Inyokern, the greater Indian Wells Valley and surrounding environment.

  • If you have a historical item that you would like to donate, please call Liz Babcock, the History Curator, at 760-375-6900.
  • If you have an item of archaeological interest, please contact Alexander (Sandy) Rogers, Curator of Archaeology, at 760-375-6900.
  • If you have a natural history item such as a local fossil, rock or mineral specimen, please contact Camille Anderson, Curator of Natural History, at 760-375-6900.

Please call first to discuss the donation and then make an appointment to bring the object to the Museum.

The Maturango Museum collects to both preserve for future generations and exhibit. While we are committed to regular displays from our collections, like most museums we cannot display more than a fraction of our collection at any one time. No donations of items will be accepted if the donor has conditions pertaining to their use.
